Boston Ivy

Collected leaves and let them soak in water for a couple of days.

Put the leaves in a pot with water. Heat to below boiling. Simmer for two hours. Let overnight to steep. The day after I strained the water, reserve, and boiled the leaves with new water. Simmer. Added the reserved water to the pot with the leaves again and left overnight to steep. Next day I removed the leaves from the water (strained the water with a mesh) and divide the liquid in three pots to heat with each modifier:

  • lemon

  • calcium carbonate (cc)

Added fabric (silk and cotton) to the three baths and heat for an hour. Some of the pieces of fabric from the Ivy bath I took out and put iron liquor in another pot, heat for half an hour more.
