More marigolds and avocado

I put marigolds in a pot, brought to boil and simmered for an hour. Turned off the fire and left the marigolds in the pot until the next day.

The day after I strained the marigolds with a colander. (I repeated the process several times this time: boiled the marigolds again and again for 20 minutes each time and added the liquid to the dye pot.) Then I put the fabric in the dye pot, simmer for 2 hours. Took the fabric out and rinsed.

Results on cotton (combed, heavier gauze, voile, combed broadcloth, bubble gauze, velvet) and silk (raw and habotai) and wrinkled organic cotton.

I boiled avocados in the same way: the day before simmered, the day of dyeing I strained the avocado skins several times. Put the fabric in the water and left for two hours. Rinsed.

Results on cotton and silk:

With modifiers: Avocado with copper, avocado with iron and marigold with iron. Sashiko thread dyed with avocado and marigold.
