Lunaria (money plant) kozo paper and coreopsis dye
Collected lunaria in Italy:
I put dried coreopsis in a pot with water and brought it to boil. Then let to simmer for an hour. I left the flowers in the water overnight.
I mordanted the kozo pulp and lunaria pods with tannin, alum acetate and calcium carbonate:
The day after, I strained the coreopsis bath and put the mordanted pulp in the dye bath and simmer for an hour:
I formed the sheets hanji style:
Some lunaria pots were part of the pulp, some where added at couching, and some were sandwiched between two layers.
