Logwood
I disolved the logwood extract in hot water, and add to a pot of water. Add the wet fabric and bring the temperature to before boiling. Keep it simmering.
I divided the dye bath in three parts, one pot was just logwood, another has citric acid added and third one has copper sulfate in it.
The acid bath (left photo) made colors lighter, towards lilac, and a little bit towards red/brown. The right picture is the logwood bath alone. The copper bath shifted the purple to blue.
